ADHD Coaching

ADHD Coaching Barcelona: one-to-one support in English for adults who keep hitting the same walls.

ADHD coaching in Barcelona for English-speaking adults, conducted online. This is one-to-one work with a certified ADHD coach who has the diagnosis himself. The sessions are built around how ADHD is actually showing up in your life, not strategies designed for someone else's situation.

The Eternal Frustration

Knowing what to do

"The gap between knowing and doing is exactly where ADHD coaching works."

Taking Action

Doing what you know

What Coaching Closes ADHD coaching builds the bridge between the point of frustration and the point of action.
The struggles

ADHD Coaching helps make sense of the daily struggles ADHD creates.

ADHD is a performance problem, not a knowledge problem. The gap is between knowing what to do and actually doing it. If any of the following sound familiar, you already know what that means.

You cannot understand why you just cannot do the simple things.

You feel you should be making more of life and are being left behind.

You are full of ideas but cannot organise or act on them, and that frustrates you.

You cannot explain your challenges to yourself or to others.

You freeze when it is time to start, even on things you want to do.

You lose time without noticing, then panic to catch up.

You are tired of repeating the same patterns and ready to try something different.

If any of this sounds familiar, it is worth a conversation.

The journey

How ADHD Coaching Changes the Pattern

Coaching builds a practical understanding of where ADHD is affecting you specifically. From there, the work is about developing methods that fit how you actually function, not how you think you should function.

See yourself in the picture

Coaching starts by building a specific picture of how ADHD affects you. Most adults have a general sense of what ADHD is. Fewer have mapped it to their own daily life. That specificity is what makes the work useful.

Begin to act with confidence

With clarity on what is blocking you, coaching works on those specific areas using methods designed for ADHD. The focus is on practical approaches that work within your actual life, not advice built for ideal conditions.

You remain in control

Coaching is not about being told what to do. You set the direction. Each session works on what is most relevant to your life right now, and you decide what to do with it.

If any of this sounds like the kind of coaching that might actually be useful, it is worth a conversation.

English-speaking support

ADHD Coaching in Barcelona for English-Speaking Adults

Most ADHD support in Barcelona operates in Spanish. For English-speaking adults working in the city, that is the first barrier. Finding a coach who also understands what ADHD looks like inside a professional or working life is a different challenge on top of that.

Gary is based in Barcelona and works with English-speaking adults across the city and internationally. All sessions are conducted online. Clients in Barcelona, elsewhere in Spain, and across Europe work this way.

Getting an ADHD diagnosis in Spain as an English speaker means dealing with private clinics, language barriers, and varying levels of familiarity with adult ADHD among clinicians. Coaching does not require a formal diagnosis. If you have already been assessed, coaching builds on that. If you have not, coaching is still available and can work alongside the diagnostic process rather than waiting for it to complete.

If you are looking for ADHD coaching in English in Barcelona, it is worth a conversation.

Focus areas

In What Areas Can ADHD Coaching Help You?

ADHD affects everyone differently. Coaching works on the areas causing you the most difficulty right now, building practical awareness from those outwards.

Understanding Your ADHD

Many adults spend years managing ADHD symptoms without a clear picture of how ADHD is working against them specifically. Coaching builds that understanding. It is the foundation everything else comes from.

Getting Started and Following Through

Difficulty starting tasks and not finishing what you begin are among the most common complaints. Coaching works on what is actually causing the block for you, not general advice about breaking work into smaller pieces.

Attention and Time Management

Losing track of time, missing commitments, and struggling to hold more than one thread at once. These are not character flaws. Coaching works on them practically, with methods that account for how ADHD affects time perception and focus.

Impulse Control and Decision-Making

Acting before thinking, overcommitting, and struggling to pause before responding. Coaching builds practical awareness of how these patterns show up for you and what you can do about them before they create problems.

If any of this sounds familiar, it is worth a conversation.

Lived Experience

Diagnosed with ADHD at 32.

Meet Gary.

Hello. I'm Gary, from Ireland and now based in Barcelona. I have ADHD.

Diagnosed at 32, I understood for the first time why I had spent my whole life struggling with overwhelm, erratic focus, and a sense of being out of step with everyone around me, even when things looked fine from the outside. It took close to a decade after that to develop something that actually worked. ADHD coaching was what changed that. It gave me the practical framework I had been missing, and that led me to leave a senior 20-year tech career to train as a coach and work with adults in the same position. I work with clients online, internationally.

"Gary takes a calm and measured approach while letting you express yourself."

I joined the coaching sessions shortly after my initial diagnosis, with very limited knowledge or understanding of what ADHD truly is. Thanks to Gary's vast knowledge, patience, and lived experience, he provided clear insights.

"I finally have the tools to understand my own train of thought."

I found Gary's coaching invaluable to not only come to terms with my diagnosis, but also learning about ADHD as I was not too clued in on the condition.

IT Consultant

Conor M.

I was led to come to understand and connect with my challenges with clarity and was supported as I created the right amount of support around me.

Self-employed Designer

Erik J.

"His lived experience of managing with ADHD brought a perspective I couldn't find elsewhere."

I was looking for someone who understood the complexities of ADHD and executive function in a leadership role. Gary's approach is refreshing and practical.

FAQ

Some frequently asked questions.

Quick answers about ADHD coaching in Barcelona, session format, and what to expect when you get in touch.

I want to know more but I am not ready to book a call right now.
That is fine. You can send a message with whatever questions you have and I will respond without any pressure to commit. Contact is available by email or through the contact form on the site.
How do I get started?
The first step is a free 45-minute introductory call. There is no cost and no obligation. The call is a chance to understand how coaching works, give some background on your situation, and ask questions before making any decision. If you would prefer to ask questions by email first, that is fine. You can request a call or send a message through the contact page.
Where and when do sessions take place?
All sessions are conducted online via video call, typically one week apart. Sessions are usually scheduled in the week following the previous one, giving time to reflect and act on anything that came up.
If coaching is not working for me, can I stop?
Yes. You will not be paying for multiple sessions in advance and you will not be locked into any long-term commitment. If coaching is not working, I would rather know that than have you continue sessions that are not useful. You can stop at any point.
Do you work with adults of all ages?
The only firm line is that I do not work with children. For adults, there is no upper age limit. If at any point I feel a different ADHD coach would be a better fit for your specific situation, I will say so and point you to someone appropriate in my network.
Can I get an ADHD diagnosis in Barcelona?
Yes, though the process is private and takes time. Adult ADHD diagnosis in Spain is done through private clinics. Wait times and English-language availability vary between providers. Coaching does not require a formal diagnosis. If you have already been assessed, coaching builds on that. If you are mid-process or have not yet started, coaching can still begin. The two things work alongside each other rather than one waiting for the other.
